CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - Gavel & Dorn Engineering, PLLC (G&D), a full-service civil engineering consultancy, is pleased to announce that Mr. Sean Mayo, PE, has been promoted to partner of the firm. Mr. Mayo is an experienced civil site development engineer with over ten years of progressive experience in all aspects of civil engineering.

His land development design experience includes site layout, roadway horizontal and vertical alignment, water and sanitary sewer utilities, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, storm water drainage, and storm water management. Prior to joining G&D, Mr. Mayo was a project engineer for the John R. McAdams Co. of Charlotte. Mr. Mayo is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology and also has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Mr. Mayo is a licensed professional civil engineer in North Carolina. Mr. Mayo is married with two children and an avid runner who recently completed the Boston Marathon with a time of 3:08:51. Mr. Mayo will be responsible for heading G&D's land development division, while supporting G&D's core municipal civil infrastructure projects.

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - Gavel & Dorn Engineering, PLLC (G&D), a full-service civil engineering consultancy founded in 2008, is pleased to announce that it has relocated its main office to 6730 Freedom Drive, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Strategically located in the 'tank town' area of Charlotte, the office is near the airport and major highways.

The new larger space was required to house G&D's expanding operations and plans for future growth and will be home to G&D diverse staff of engineering, construction, and geotechnical professionals. Positioned on 1.4 acres, the almost 7,000 square foot facility will allow G&D to continue to expand its capabilities to support its public and private clients with new offices, conference room, and a construction materials testing laboratory.
