Mr. Gavel is Senior Partner of Gavel & Dorn Engineering and has fifteen years of varied experience in engineering and construction, ranging from planning and design to field inspection. Over the course of his career, he has served as project manager/project engineer or resident engineer/inspector on various types of construction, on projects ranging in value from thousands of dollars to tens of millions of dollars. He has provided support to other engineers, architects, and building contractors, and has served as expert witness in construction related litigation. He is a registered engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia; a licensed home inspector in North Carolina; and a licensed general building and public utilities contractor in North Carolina. He is certified as an instructor in NASSCO's Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), and is a teacher for the North Carolina Collection and Distribution Systems Operators School.
